Launch a small collection
You have reference images, a mood board or an initial concept and need a workable group of styles, colours and packaging options prepared for sampling.
Hair Accessories Sourcing in China for UK Brands
For UK independent brands, boutiques and retailers developing scrunchies and fabric hair ties. York coordinates design adaptation, sampling, commercial terms, retail packaging and pilot production through a family-run production partner in China.
B2B projects only · No phone call required · MOQ, testing and import arrangements are confirmed for each project.
You do not need to replace every supplier or arrive with a finished technical pack. Start with one clearly defined style or a closely related collection.
You have reference images, a mood board or an initial concept and need a workable group of styles, colours and packaging options prepared for sampling.
Change the fabric, dimensions, elastic, colour range, trim, label or packaging of a proven product while keeping each revision recorded.
Coordinate samples, compare key commercial terms, review a second production option or manage agreed changes without forcing you to restart.
Coordinate specifications, quantities, packaging, production milestones and agreed checks after the collection direction has been approved.
Feasible quantities depend on design, fabric, colour count, packaging and production method. York does not advertise a blanket low-MOQ guarantee.
The service connects the product, sample, commercial terms, approval points, packaging and shipment responsibilities in one written workflow.
Commercial boundary: supplier identities, detailed factory quotations and full supplier research are paid project deliverables after a written scope is agreed. They are not included in the initial project review.
Anonymised pre-shipment record
An anonymised pre-shipment packing forecast recorded six base styles, nine cartons and 7,320 planned pieces for a hair-accessory project.
Each stage has a clear decision point. Paid work begins only after scope and fee are agreed.
Share a reference product, intended users, style count, trial quantity and UK destination.
Identify missing specifications and whether the request is commercially workable.
Confirm deliverables, service fee, external costs, assumptions and exclusions.
Record materials, colours, dimensions, labels, packaging and requested revisions.
Follow production milestones, packing requirements and agreed checks.
Coordinate packing data and available documents while keeping import responsibilities explicit.
The correct checks and shipping arrangement depend on the product, buyer and destination. They are never assumed from a generic category name.
The appropriate evidence and testing route depends on material composition, detachable metal or plastic components, intended age group and sales channel. Products intended for children require the target age, components, warnings and testing route to be confirmed.
York can coordinate supplier records and third-party testing when included in scope. Agreed visual checks are not a laboratory test, formal AQL inspection, factory audit or product certification.
For Great Britain, the buyer normally acts as or appoints the importer of record and remains responsible for its GB EORI, import declarations, Customs Duty and import VAT unless a different arrangement is explicitly agreed. Northern Ireland requires a separate review.
Product cost, York's service fee, samples, domestic freight, international freight, duties, taxes, customs charges and third-party testing are identified separately unless the written quotation expressly includes an item.
This page does not publish a one-size-fits-all price or freight promise. The work required for a new collection, an existing supplier and a production order is different.
Answers below describe the default commercial boundary. The accepted quotation or pro forma invoice controls a specific shipment.
Freight is quoted after the product, packed weight and dimensions, quantity, destination postcode and service level are confirmed. The written quotation states its validity and what is included.
York can request a duty-paid option where a compliant carrier and customs arrangement is available. DDP is not automatic. It applies only when the accepted quotation expressly states DDP, the named place and the responsible seller.
Unless the accepted quotation states otherwise, the client acts as or appoints the importer of record. York coordinates China-side documents and shipping information but is not the customs broker or tax adviser.
Only when expressly listed in the accepted quotation. By default, product costs, freight, Customs Duty, import VAT, customs brokerage and other third-party charges are separate or remain the importer's responsibility.
Yes. Samples, agreed visual checks, photos or a short video, repacking and onward shipping can be coordinated. Sample products and all freight are charged separately.
A limited first production run used to confirm material, colour, construction, packaging and approvals before a larger commitment. Workable quantity and fee depend on the design and factory MOQ.
Send the reference, estimated quantity and destination. York will identify the essential missing information and tell you whether supplier sourcing, sample development or production support is the sensible next step.
